:D now i'm jelaous! haha Shira is a great looking B, my friend wants to show her more often this year, last year at the Basenji specialty show of our club, she won her class and got (i believe) second best female (i have some pics, shall place them when i'm on the normal computer)
She maybewants to breed one time with her and our Chafuko :) but at first we will see some health-test and fanconi test.

  • Thank you for the wonderful photos!! I love the 'table surfing' picture with all those wrinkles settled just above his tail curl.

Do you have "surfing lines" on your table? I do!! (I think when I'm asleep Katie and Ty must stand on hind legs and dance side ways down the table, then back again, over, and over, and over!! :o)

Oh, wow! What a BEAUTIFUL pair they make! Keep me posted! I'd be interested in those puppies! :)

  • This is Shira at show last year..
    :)

I'll post here everything about the ideas and whats coming up, but first.. Health… thats the most important thing for me... ;) We're going to test chafuko about a short time for hd, eyes etc. he's already fanconi free.

But shira is not tested for anything yet, so I want the results first before we donate Chafuko's dna :D

  • Thanks for sharing the pictures - they are all beautiful dogs!

@debradownsouth Which is why I check everything with the AKC website and why I like registered names. His number there is HP446055/02. Mom is also AKC registered.

Okay, clearly you knew Kipawa was Scarlett's brother. Well to both of you, Olive (formerly Fina) just left after spending the day here playing with Lyric (formerly Kiki). Her mom and dad had dinner with us while the dogs played and played and played. Olive is adorable as well, but then how could she not be. And still small but filling out, Olive looks just like her daddy Sober. Hug both Scarlett and Kipawa for us and so glad you guys hooked up here. Therese

Is it a proven fact that Chip is the sire? Or only guess work? Just because the pups might look like him doesn't make him the sire unless DNA was done? Unless RMH does the DNA test, no one can say who the sire is. And all the more reason for Fanconi test to be done if the bitch is a Carrier. We have already seen test that show one thing and then the dog starts to spill. So, the DNA test gives a heads up, but still strip testing is necessary.

You may want to try frequently rewarding him for staying still before he gets a chance to complain. You can then start building up time between treats once he gets the idea that standing still will get him a reward.
