The ears say Basenji. I have never replied but felt I had to this time. I have a Basenji-Pitbull mix named Daisy. It was Daisy's ears (and behavior) that I discovered her to be part Basenji. I have not found another breed with the ears such as Basenji's have. I'm sure I will get "crap" because I have not had DNA or other testing done but there is no mistaking, Daisy is part Basenji. I think its important to know if your dog is part Basenji because in Daisy's case she is 98% Basenji and 2% pitbull concerning her behaviors and personality. Daisy is 2 years old and it has been quite a learning experience owning such a smart, stubborn, loving, mind of her own, amazing dog! Daisy is a mix but I have to train, teach, go outside to yell out frustrations cause of her (and no I'm not kidding, but never in front of her) and all that goes with a pure Basenji because trying to train her like a normal dog does not work.
Maybe a Basenji

I was recently told that my dog looked like a besenji. When I got her I was told she was a jack russell, but I don't think that is the case. After reading the description, it fits her almost perfect. Anyone have any input! I have attached a picture.

Looks pretty Basenji to me. How old is she and what does she weigh? Who told you she was a Jack Russell?
-
Where did you get her from?
-
I bought her for $50 when she was 7 weeks old from my neighbor(he moved since then). His dog was the dad. I only saw a picture of the dad, he looked jack russell. I never saw the mom. But as she has grown, I have become doubtfull of the info I was given, or what the guy really knew. I love her to death. She is about 12 lbs right now. but only going on 9 months old.

I think she's part Russell and part B.
-
I think as Andrea said on the other post that she is part Rat Terrier and part Chi, more then Jack Russell….

I found this on Petfinder. It is listed as a Chi/Basenji. Looks very similar.

Wow…that looks very close!

Well, whatever it is, it's cute as a button! The tail definitely looks Basenji, as do the ears.
-
She's definitely part B And what a cutie!

Personally I think the picture closes the case, she is Chi/Basenji. I sure know one thing, it sure is a cute mix. I know you are so glad to see exactly what she/he is.

I don't think that is a Basenji.. but again a Rat Terrier/Chi cross… IMO

This is Ren our terrier mix, she's 13. She thinks she's a Basenji. But I see the ears look the same and her tail has like a quarter curl to it.
We call her the short legged Basenji!:)

Pretty little old gal :p
She looks very dignified. -
Just a Q, What other little dogs have a close curled tail like a B?
