Chance doing what he does best

  • I love that innocent look he's giving you. "What? Oh this?"
Also, the one that shows him done with the shredding. Great pictures.

  • Love the last one "what? Who me?"

  • @jys1011:

    I can't stop laughing…ROFL ROFL ROFL...:D :D :D

    Me too! That is hysterical!

  • What is it with B's and toilet paper? We have to keep the bathroom doors closed here all the time…she loves to pull at the TP when it's still on the roll.

  • Now my son can have picture proof the dog ate his homework

Who need paper shredders when you own a basenji?

They take such pride in their work

  • I love how he has this shocked look on his face when you caught him, it is almost like he is saying "it wasn't me, I would never do that!" even though he is caught red handed or should I say red paw! LOL!

  • Now Chance loves to go through my purse when I get home from work. He will pull anything and everything out and then spreads it all over the house. Lipstick at one end of the room and my wallet at the other…GGGRRRRR
The best part about it is how sneeky he is. He will sit next to the purse watching me. The moment I turn my head his head is in it and then when I catch him he does a B-500 sprint almost acting as if he is going Nanna-Nanna-Na-Na...You Can't Catch Me!!!

Yes, the purse is a Basenji favorite… I tell all my guests if they value what is in their purse they will NOT put it in reach of the Basenjis!

  • I have to say that the one thing my Basenji has taught me is to pick up after myself!:D

Amen to that… that is what I always tell prospective Basenji owners... if nothing else you will learn if it is important you will not leave it laying around!

@docgonzo said in Which dog fits me best?: There is no other dog like a Basenji. Nearly every breed from poodles to pit bulls have retained approximately 8% of wolf genetics. Being an “Ancient” and the “daddy” of most Of today’s domesticated breeds, the Basenji retains approximately 24% of the Wolves genetics. A recent study also determined that of all breeds the Basenji has one of the largest “play drives” (You will find this out quickly) which was key and essential to the domestication of all dogs. The Basenji is truly unique genetically and in in temperament. This dog responds quickly to kindness and a soft touch, NOT yelling and physicality. YOU WILL NOT WIN A BATTLE OF WILLS. Adapt & overcome. LOL, This info will come in handy for the next couple of years. Congratulations, amazing animals. So true. Even when life defeats them they revenge themselves. My 13 year old B tried unsuccessfully to jump up on the bed. When she unceremoniously fell off - twice, she turned around and bit the doona before running out of the room.

@Benkura: Thanks Scoops and Janneke. Chance is a very handsome boy. He was a little thinner than I would normally like but the bitches are in season and food is not his main priority at the moment! He has super muscle tone, I like to keep him super fit. :) I think he looks great! But I like the thin look ;) He's gorgeous.. and super focused :D
