Hello. Does anyone knows about the way to adopt a NGSD. I'm interested in this breed for som years, but in france there's nearly nothing about it. I read about on a blog but the NGSD was deceased at the age of seven and the owner mail me that he has found his dog in new guinea and back in france with the puppy hidden in his bag. The only clue about NGSD in france.

that's funky… My Basenji mix looks like that Telomian. She looks like a Basenji for the most part, but is more muscular, has a boxier head and her tail doesn't curl. There's no way my dog would be one of those since they're so rare, but that's weird seeing a dog like that. I've heard of the Singing Dogs before, there was a rescue here that had one awhile back.

sSo…..Do they sing? I tried to find a sample on the web site but didn't see one.

As far as adopting a NGSD, here in the states, first priority on any born goes to zoos/research facilities. Our vet is on the list to get one this year - they think her odds are good that one may be available. Like Basenjis, they only go into season once a year… She's anxiously awaiting news.
