I have notices with my guy it very much depends how the small dog acts around him. If the little one is confident and relaxed Watson treats them like any other dog and will play. If they are snarky and unsure he can become a little intense and I will step in and redirect him. He is always carefully supervised when we go to the dog park…the main place where he encounters other dogs... He enjoys playing with other dogs and is pretty social. I am careful not to allow him to meet other dogs while he is on leash since he is a bit leash reactive.

@DebraDownSouth: By original, do you mean the breeders or are they the ones who turned her over to rescue? Glad she is in a loving home! Debra, it is Lolly's original owner who was concerned for her, for some reason she had to give her up, the second owner put her with the dogs trust instead of giving her back. Lolly came originaly from a petshop  I have now on request from Lolly's new owner been able to put them in touch with each other so that information can be shared. Lolly seems as if she's got a super new home.

Lovely story, it brought a lump to my throat as my last Basenji was called Benji. People do notice them because it sometimes seems they are a permanent fixture in the window. Our neighbour used to see Benji sunbathing in the window and i told her he was ill, he lasted for another 18 months and we lost him last Feb. We then got Malaika and as soon as she was old enough she took up residence in Benji's place. Our neighbout didn't know we had a pup and remarked to her friend how Benji was still hanging on .

Cody will actually eat lettuce and will often beg the leftover from my salad. He snarfs down the lettuce carrot peas or whatever else is leftover. Totally freaked out my friend who was keeping him while I was away b/c she was eating a salad and he was begging. When she gave him a piece of lettuce he ate it and begged for more. She actually called me on my cell to make sure it was ok. :) He prefers ranch dressing. Thank you very much!

Tucker goes through 3 or more rawhide 'bones' or the flat rolled 'bones' in a week. He loves them and has never had any problems. The vet told me that there's no reason that he can't have them as long as they don't cause him any problems, most of which would be noticable (choking, intestinal blockage, etc). He's never had any problems. I gave him one of those dark colored pig ears once and he bit it once and it shattered into tiny needlelike pieces. Never did that again.
