    I agree, bribing is good. Over the years I have developed a personal relationship with my vets and their staff. Office manager is on my facebook (rare if you know me because I have under 90 friends … mostly family, close friends and their kids and friends of my daughter. I keep it limited to provide those kids the most protection and to keep it personal). I never worry about the care my dogs get anyway, but I know the gifts I bring at Christmas to the staff and occasional treats lets them know they are appreciated.

    @wizard: I dream of being able to have a pack of basenjis :rolleyes: Well, me too. But, as Darren can just barely handle having two in the house {much as he loves them}, I think it'd be a "me or the dogs" situation, and as I am a stay-at-home mom….... well, yeah, I kind of need him to provide the home and the food, and actually, the dogs. LOL So, two works out just fine. :D {but I'd still really love to have a brindle; no -- two brindles. I'd like a beautiful dark brindle, but I also really like the light r/w ones. :) Ahhh, such is life; and dreams are fun to hold on to}

    Our puppy was out in the house one time when we came home and I wondered if maybe I had not had the hasp lined up when I shut it, but maybe she did figure out how to open it. Now, she says outside with the other dogs (well, they actually can come into the laundry room as well) and is only in the crate essentially for feeding so I have not found out if she can do it again.

    I am glad to know my basenji mix isn't the only one that chases flies and other flying insects. I have to admit, it is funny to watch her chase a fly around my office while I'm at work. Never a dull moment.
