    @Sass7656 - Many a Basenji would prefer to be only dogs..... and certainly I agree with crate training, I do not believe in leave 2 in one crate regardless of the size.... next to each other but in separate crates.... I agree with Debra, you could have just as easily come home to a disaster....

    I agree, bribing is good. Over the years I have developed a personal relationship with my vets and their staff. Office manager is on my facebook (rare if you know me because I have under 90 friends … mostly family, close friends and their kids and friends of my daughter. I keep it limited to provide those kids the most protection and to keep it personal). I never worry about the care my dogs get anyway, but I know the gifts I bring at Christmas to the staff and occasional treats lets them know they are appreciated.

    LOL, my husband got me a magnet with a basenji with a remote in it's mouth. Very cute! But ouch, that pup needs a nail trimming!

    Make sure you use a good cleaner to get rid of the pee/poo smells. I think often we think its clean, but the dogs can still smell the area, and think, ok, this is where I go…We had an issue with a b peeing on the bed. Using an cleaner that breaks up the "matter" was heaven sent to us.

    @wizard: I dream of being able to have a pack of basenjis :rolleyes: Well, me too. But, as Darren can just barely handle having two in the house {much as he loves them}, I think it'd be a "me or the dogs" situation, and as I am a stay-at-home mom….... well, yeah, I kind of need him to provide the home and the food, and actually, the dogs. LOL So, two works out just fine. :D {but I'd still really love to have a brindle; no -- two brindles. I'd like a beautiful dark brindle, but I also really like the light r/w ones. :) Ahhh, such is life; and dreams are fun to hold on to}
