Elsa is now 9 months old and doing great. We are considering getting another Basenji. Would like anyones opinions on if she is still to young to introduce another dog to the home? Getting a male or a female? Pros and cons on multiples? and what age dog to get. Thank you everyone for your input.
I love at least two, they will play and keep each other company. I would think she is prime for a playmate at her age. You could get another puppy, or a young adult. Lots of 3-4 month old pups with BRAT in Florida, hint, hint.
We got our second B (Miles) when Akeyla was 11months and Miles was 10months. They get along super!! I agree that you should get male if you have a female or vise versa.
Sounds quite the opposite… he obviously wanted to be friends with the kitty! He was just overly enthusiastic about it, and maybe went about it the wrong way :D
@snorky998:
Glad your play date went well. Have a great vacation. I'll patiently wait for the play date pictures if you promise to post a few vacation pictures as well!!!
Have fun.
:D I'll do that, the B's went to the uhm, home for the elderly and iI made some pics, then the day before they went crazy with eachother… also made pics..
It is good to hear that Las Vegas is pet friendly. I am going to Las Vegas this weekend for a dog show. We are actually staying in Hendersen in the Residence Inn which allows dogs and is close to the show grounds.
@Tayda_Lenny:
Hello! there is a possibility that Tayda, Lenny and I will be moving Northern California in the next few months! I noticed there are a lot of Northern Californians on the forum and I'm wondering where the really dog friendly area are. I might be working in San Jose, and would prefer to live about 1/2 hour north - maybe in Freemont/Union City/Newark area. Is this area dog friendly? Are there fenced in Dog Parks around?
Hello there! I live in Cupertino and work in San Jose. Here are two websites that will tell you what dog parks, trails and even hotels you can take your B to.
