I am so sorry about your brother. Yes, seems he was meant to be with your family. If you get a chance, record his vocalizations. We really love pictures and videos!

It's just very expensive here. That is what I have heard. We have it good here in Texas, still resonable and so far the economy has not bit us too hard.. but the scenery you have, somebody has to pay for it…lol. That is why we visit Sweden once a year, for scenery and ..oh, of course for family..

@snorky998: Looks like the video worked well. Buddy recalled to the TV instantly:D Now all you have to do is imitate the wonderfully silly voice and he'll come running every time:D Let us know how that works out!! Thanks for the clip. It was adorable. That's correct! The high pitched "SPREEEEE"! That's the dogs name (Spree) in the video. So it will have to be "BUDDEEEEE! I will have to work on the high pitch.

@navyman: Right, and I just remembered they do the minpins too! Now that's asking for double-trouble  Yes she does have the Min Pins too, she has "Ace"(Ch. Altanero Barnstormer) that is in the top ten in the country(currently #6). Those things are just a little to hyper for me. I think she has over 20 Basenji's.

There are now DNA tests available that can pinpoint what your dog might be genetically. Some companies can only do 30 or so breeds but most advertise well over 150. Why should you care - well it is a way to know what sorts of things healthwise you should be on the lookout for as many breeds have unique health issues. I was at the vet last year and there was a puggle there with an eye issue - the owners shared what it was and it is common in beagles. They then went on to say that they had trouble with the other eye before and it was an issues specific (although not exclusive) to pugs. So much for hybrid vigor. Darling picture though - good luck
