When my dogs were young they'd back away from their collars or scratch at them because they were new and scary. I don't keep collars on my dogs in the house because they play roughly and I don't want any accidents. When they DO see their collars it means walk time and they get so excited they shove their heads though on their own. When it's associated with something positive they quickly learn to love their collars!

We got ours from http://www.2houndsdesign.com/ and they have held up great.

I searched the forum because I know there have been several threads about this in the past, but I didn't find a whole lot. Any advice? Lola is dark brindle so I'm thinking a bright purple blue or green. I like that all hounds offers a lifetime replacement, but didn't absolutely love any in particular.
The All Hounds Apparel person was at the show I was this weekend. She has started displaying some of the returned collars that she has had to replace. It is nice to know that I am not the only one that has used the lifetime garuntee. I did tell her that mine was in so many pieces it couldn't be displayed, again, not an uncommon tale.

I actually looked at the 2hounds site last night, and I really LOVE some of their collars… They are a bit pricey, but I just might have to spend the money. They really are gorgeous!! And Lola is a princess so she deserves only the finest.

I love Mrs. Bones in Virginia Beach

My favorite everyday collars/leashes are made by White Pine. The nicest feeling leashes I've ever had.

Here is another place, http://sighthoundgear.com/trims.htm

Did he chew the 'choke' portion of the collar? Perhaps it can be repaired.

OMG… Thank you so much. I had found this site last year and couldn't for the life of me remember what the company name was. I have to go place an order right now.

After several days of searching (and yet ANOTHER collar eaten when I accidently left it on her in the crate for an hour… fortunately it was an old one of Booger's & fortunately I still had one more collar laying around the house), I've narrowed it down & just need some opinions now.

My vote is for Joli, #4.
Pssst #2 and #3 are the same….I'm sure Lola's going to bust out with a little runway walk when she puts on her new collar. Can't wait

I like the Joli #4 too, and Tanza's green selection.

Sounds like I'm going with Jolie…. (and BTW Tanza, yours were in the top 7 or 8! I loved those too!! Too many pretty ones to choose from!)
Mauigirl, are we sure Lola knows any walk OTHER than runway walk??

Ohh ok. Question.. I looooved the purple too - but saw it only came in a medium. Does this size work for little Bs?
Lycia is 13.5in around the head measurement and 11.5 around the top of the neck (or B in the diagram, http://www.2houndsdesign.com/How-to-Measure-for-a-Martingale-Collar-p-22.html)
Can we run away with a Med? or stay safe with a small? She is nine and half months old - so I figure she still has a smigit of growing to do since she is still only 7.5 kilos.

Seems to me the small would be best, for right now. But you may want to wait and see if she get any bigger in the next month or two.

I'm leaning the same way… alas for the purple.
