Thank you for sharing- you have a beautiful, basenji-enriched life! Isn't it amazing how tall they can stretch to when they want to see what's on the counter?
Hugs and Roos-:)
They've really grown! I would have a hard time saying good-bye too.
What great pictures! They look so sweet. Give them lots of hugs and kisses before they leave.
I'm so totally in love with the little african tri! He's just too cute for words. I would be very sad to see them go after falling in love with them as well. Make sure you give them tons of lovins before their big trip to Finland!
"Um excuse me, this is my human, go find your own" LMAO that what it looks like these two are saying
Love all the pics, they are wonderful
I am amazed, they both know to go to the door when they need to go out….....the little red Girl rings the bell!
It was so nice yesterday, when I had to bring them in the girl didn't want to come in. So she decided to ring the bell......over and over and over........when I didn't respond she started to chew the thing off the door.:D
The first picture of the little red girl is just so sweet.
I still love that tri
How long do you have to keep them & why?
Is this a quarantine issue???
I think the gang is going to miss them as much as you will. It would be very hard to part with them and thanks again for sharing your wonderful pictures and experience.

They will fly to Finland on Tuesday.
Yes it's a Quarantine issue. The girl will eventually end up in Sweden, but she must stay in Finland for 120 days.
They are very special little creatures, it's great we all got to see them.
The owner has a website and has been posting some of the pictures. I really look forward to seeing them fully grown. Here's the link http://www.yulara.se/
A link for those that may have not seen the Africa pictureshttp://www.yulara.se/kongo2008.htm
Awww shucks!! I hate good-byes I hope their new owners will send you pics so you can keep in touch
:o Ohhhhh, we'll miss 'em, too… A lot of us have practically (well, "virtually") adopted them...
The owner's website will probably start getting a lot of hits soon since we'll be looking at those African cutie pies as they mature...
Ooh, they are so cute and so beautiful!
I believe it will be hard for you to let them go..
Ooooh, what a handsome pile of pups. Thank goodness you'll still have a houseful after your visitors go home.
They are sooooo cute and I understand it will be hard to let them go but I can´t wait to see the little girl IRL when she´s arrives in sweden.Rest assured they will have a good life over here and the little red girl get´s to spend her summer hols on Mia´s private Island were she can roam free with the yulara pack:)
I love all your dog photos, they always look so happy. Nothing is better than a bunch of basenjis that get along well.
Anne in Tampa
How many did they get total just those 2? All the pictures are great they look soo sweet and happy .. The pups in the africa pictures dont look so happy they mostly have there ears down
From what I understood in Mia´s story from Kongo there were 6 pup´s that came to the US and 2 of them are now leaving to scandinavia. It also said that these dog´s are accustomed to show submissiveness when a human approaches and therefor they had to be quick if they wanted a photo of them with their tails and ears up.
They did bring back six in total…...4 here in the US and the two that will be in Finland soon.
They have the nicest feet, especially the red female(Gali). They look very much like cat paws, she reminds me of a lanky big cat.
I think my young pack is really going to miss them, it's amazing how they've just accepted them. Willy just loves them and he'll be lost without them for a few days. I think our females really enjoy having some pups around......you can see that they really enjoy the extra activity in the pack they supervise.
So does this mean you're going to add two pups to your pack this year?
Yes and how they have thrived in your care their coats glisten and they are so cúddly and have gained so much confidence not having to squabble over food and care.I spit my coffee when I read about Gali and the bell incident ….LOL

I've not said much about it, but we do have a pup coming sometime in April.  This one will stay.:D
Really? How exciting! Where is the pup coming from?
