Hello,
My name is Rebecca. I am from Indiana. I am the Vice-President of America's
Basenji Rescue. Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I love this breed. I had never been around Basenjs till I met my fiancée. They are the most fascinating, regal, graceful, loving, intelligent, independent, and can do things to your furniture that you never dreamed a dog would do, lol. I have my own girl now. Her name is Lilly. She is my best friend. I am disabled and was needed something to help me through the bad times. She has touched a place in my heart.

Welcome to this great place. I have to agree with you totally. I had a toy poodle throughout my teenage years that I loved with all my heart. When we had to pput him down, I swore off animals FOREVER….then we meet Champ and he has made us love him like nothing we could have ever imagined and now we have our #2 Belle who has won our hearts over as well. I tell everyone that they must have old souls inside them because something about them is just magical.
