Tayda Lenny Duke and Daisy at the dog park!

  • Tayda and Lenny met Duke and Daisy at the dog park for some fun! They got along just fine and played with each other and the other dogs! A little snarking here and there but overall very good!

We had a wonderful time - about 2 hours! Time went quickly - the day was beautiful and to my relief, all got along. As Michelle said - a little snarking about nothing, but I was very proud of Duke's behavior - thinking he might have been worse. Duke and Lenny (both males) gave way to the snarkasm.

The other dogs that came along into the park were labs - all of them friendly. No problems what-so-ever for my first time at a dog park. It was a wonderful experiene.

Thanks Michelle - I was happy to meet you and Tayda & Lenny. I just love their cinnamon roll tails. Both equally beautiful and regal. 🙂

The last pic is a classic, be it a bit personal 😃

Here is a pic of Duke and Daisy, I just took after ourr busy day:

  • Yes, it was a great time! Thanks for driving out and it was lovely to meet you and Dylan (Dillan? Dillyn?) and Daisy and Duke!

Dylan is the spelling. Thanks!! On the way home, Dylan said he's going to "miss Tayda and Lenny." 😞 Because you're moving to NY, we are thankful for this one visit together. But am hopeful that we will be in touch thru the Basenji forums. Again - best wishes for a quick, comfortable relocation. 🙂

  • It's sounds like a great outing!! And how nice for Jill to have a nice peaceful time at the dog park. That is great you all were able to meet up at least once.

  • Those babies look exhausted! Now you are going to be hooked on the dog park, I love taking my two they come home exhausted as well.

Looks like you guys had a wonderful day!

  • The other dogs in the pictures look terrified of the basenjis or so overwhelmed they just gave up into submission.

Our dog do whell with most hounds labs as well.

All the bishon's we have met went pycho on our dogs??

  • ha ha, the park, these are the types of pics that other people without basenjis just dont understand- makes us look crazy.

a basenji owner sees- oh my, they communicate so differently together than with other dogs, look at how they play

the non dog owner sees- bunch of dogs that look alike….

the basenji owner sees- they are growl talking and not killing each other ! LOL

the other pet owners see - that dog is hard core scary and there are so many of them

these are the types of events that make me understand my kids and value their communication skills.

or maybe it is just me and i am a crazy basenji mom?

LOL - Yeah and sometimes it scares the owner too … It was the 1st time at a dog park with my kids. TL was more at ease, which was a benefit for me. They do gowl talk - the snarking sounds something like short spurts of tasmanian devil. Startling even for a B-owner with other dogs in the mix.

  • Great pictures of a great day!

  • Love it!🆒

Our go at it when they chase squirrels in the yard. the neighbors have to think our dogs are vicious. No one comes up to pet our dogs that live close. they fear them, except our next door neighbor who really knows them.

  • Those pictures are great!! I can't believe how BIG Daisy has gotten!! Wow time flies!!!! The last pic cracked me up!!! 😃

Thanks RWF and yes, she is the one with the "block head". But, she is a lady and means no harm. Total Basenji - no barking, no shedding, no smells so far. She is Dukes competition . . . Except for being a "bed hog", she has won our hearts a thousand times over.

I too liked that last photo - classic! 😃

  • They're all beautiful dogs! It just seems like yesterday you posting Daisy's homecoming pictures - She has turned into a magnificent young lady!

Thank you! It was a pleasure meeting Mommy Michelle. Tayda and Lenny were amazingly well behaved with our meeting the week before last. I love that it's so easy to become familiar with these dogs . . . addicting, eh?
