Here is my basenji Lillie and my son Scott. I have had Lillie for 2 1/2 months now and I am absolutely IN LOVE with her! Of course she is keeping me on my toes! My husband had this picture enlarged and placed on a calendar so I can see it everyday at work.

Hi Jodie - Lillie looks like a smart little girl! She's so pretty! Handsome son you got, too! She looks so happy and surely so are you! Very nice union. So glad you found each other. ;)

Thank you all for replying. Lillie is very special to me because previous to her I had another rescue dog (sheltie/shepherd) who I got at 3 months old. After finding out (at 8 mos.) that he had hip dysplasia (both hips) he had surgery and swimming therapy. I put alot of hard work (and money) into this dog and he just was not a nice dog. Which was very unusual to me. He bit myself, my husband and my son. I had to bring him back to the rescue shelter because I could not have that any longer. My son, Scott has autism and I wanted to get another dog right away to show him that all dogs were not like Ricky. I am so happy that he has bonded with Lillie and that she is loving to him.

hi and welcome! i think you will like it here. nice people, eye candy (in the form of basenji pics), i often come here to vent and laugh. some say basenjis are like potato chips…you cant have just one! your kiddos are cute!
