In your position, where you really have to take her out a lot, I understand. And I hope her comfort continues. My point was it is situational need, not dog need to be that social. 🙂 I have a slim chance of that having worked with my current 2, but with my incredibly dog aggressive first one, I'd have been out in a basket muzzle and warning everyone to keep their dogs away.
Raw chicken/meat
-
So I have been looking at feeding my Basenji raw meat. I can get hold of whole raw chicken cheap. My question is, can they have raw bones. I've read in some places they can't and others they can. I know they cannot have cooked bones as these splinter and can cause damage to the insides.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

@viknkrish Raw bones are fine

Thank you @tanza for your reply.

Yes, they could but sometimes it would depend on your dog if they want raw. In my case, they don't so I have to bake it for 15-20 minutes.

Just make sure that you don't have any bones in the "cooked chicken" when you give it to them. The bones become brittle when cooked and that creates a serious danger that can ultimately kill your dog.

Cooked chicken bones splinter. I would be very careful about baking them for any length of time.
