    We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.     These are really things you should be talking to the breeder about….. And if the sire was an import, could be as already noted just take time for the ears to stay up, or they might never.... same with the tail... Note also, it is not uncommon when they start to loose the baby teeth that the ears don't stand up....

    @noodle: Mmmmmm…the smell of singeing dog fur - I know it well! :D Mine sit so close to the small fan heater in my bedroom, it makes their whiskers go curly! :rolleyes: The basenji my brother had when I was in high school would sleep UNDER our Franklin woodstove in the basement - Franklin stoves have higher legs than regular woodstoves. When Zeke would come out for water, you couldn't touch him as his fur would burn your hand. :eek:

    My son uses a foxtail he has on a fishing rod to play with the B's…....a few of them will chase it till the tounges drag on the ground. It's fun to watch them.:)
