Basenji Talk
  • Happy New Year to all of you guys from the Annandael Gang!
    This is our Holiday Portrait:

And this is Kiya and I enjoying the last sunset of 2006 in Aurora, CO after the two blizzards had gone through:

  • Beautiful Pictures Annandael!!! Makes me miss Colorado even more. I used to live there for close to 14 years. Ahhhh how I miss those blizzards :)

  • Great pics, thanks so much for sharing. Burrrrr:D

  • Wow! How beautiful you all are…including the landscape! Please send snow our way...we miss it...it is going to be near 50 this weekend...sniff sniff...I'm tired of mud season every other month...
Thanks for the pictures! Happy New Year!

That good news, Dennis - and you are likely to find, in the long run, that the older boy will teach the pups far more than you ever can. They'll get their street cred from him !

@Janneke: I really like Malaika and Freya. You can always shorten Malaika to Laika ;) I like Malaika too (I just love african names :D ), Mali for short :)

I would suggest waiting until you get the little guy. Indi didn't have a name for abut 2 days. We had all these names in mind and none of them fit. Thats my two cents anyway (oh ya and because we did that I have a cool costume for him on haloween but I don't think I am going to get any cooperation on his end)

The only thing I would be concerned about with a Dachshund would be the possiblity of it having some back damage with the rough play of a basenji…or even trying to do the same acrobatics that Bs do. I have known some folks who had a lot of problems with disk and spine problems with Doxies...but I don't know if that is typical. Something to think about though...
