Way back when, Topper was the 'demo dog' for his puppy and adult classes, he would always do the new things, but get annoyed if the instructor kept asking him to do it again. "Hey Lady, I know what I'm doing, no need to repeat it!" Nicky became the demo dog for agility as she is fearless and loves heights. She did like to make the teeter-totter slam to the floor, and jump off grinning. Basenjis ARE smart and seem to excel at all sorts of classes as long as it's fun for them. Have fun with Kismet!

some do, some don't. I was thinking about a better thing but a thin collar, because there still is a risk that the dog gets hurt for some stupid reason. I have bought some agility lead thing, as a retriever lead. But this does not work that well, if the dog is tackling the prey, so a slip lead would be a good alternative…. I think I can have someone make one or two for me, so maybe we have a new "top seller" soon. Specially Denmark is not very used to Coursing events. We do not have regular track racing under FCI regulations as here in DK you can bet on sighthound races. Coursing is quite new here and on August 8th the first national Championship is held. Next Year we hope to participate with the B's in a own coursing section, hopefully... Regards, Esther

@YodelDogs: I am eager to meet you guys also but things just haven't worked out. Will there be a get-together this weekend? I've been talking with Mauigirl, and she'll probably relay this to you later, but I can't do Saturday morning b/c I have to work. I'm free Sunday morning, and we're willing to drive to your area if there is a good park in your area. I don't know if there was a different thread yall were discussing this on… but I can't find it if there was.

HA! We did the up& back method at my petsmart class. Jack is so flexible, he would actually follow the treat back with his head, until his head was almost lying on his back. I think what I finally had to do was push his butt down with one hand, while holding the treat in front of his face with the other. He got really good at it…now, he sits when I snap my fingers, when I say sit, or, my favorite, when I salute him. Good luck!
