  • Glad you made it over Feebee. I'm the one who gave you this link on the other site. You'll find LOTS of great info here. Somebody will ask you where you got Pokey from because we like to know who we're related to via our dogs. ;) I have 3 badsenjis and one crazy malinois. If you ever get down to colorado, let us know.

  • Cute pup. Love the photo behind the blinds!

  • Very cute puppy!

  • A big WELCOME to you and your new little monster (just kidding!). We all know basenjis are perfect. :) I too love the pic of him poking out from the blinds.

  • Your puppy is adorable! The picture behind the blinds is priceless - and odd from my point of view, because my girls, within reach of a venetian blind, have and still would tear them to pieces to see out! Needless to say, we had to replace all of them, and they are all "half-mast" forever to protect them from being destroyed.

  • Welcome onboard..and yes..those are great pics..the blind picture like said before..priceless.

  • Welcome!

Yes, the blinds, my B does the same thing. I have roll down shades that he likes to climb around and walk along the curtain wall. It's tough for him to get out though and it's always entertaining watching the struggle. :D

I often get to Colorado!!! We moved here from Fort Collins, although my husband was in Grand Junction with his job. His job is moving us again to North Dakota.

We got Pokey from a breeder in Utah.

Hahaha! Pokey too has destroyed them all! We have resorted to replacing them with cheap $5 ones until I find something better :)

  • Glad you found us!

  • Welcome to our pack - you'll find lots of great information, training and feeding tips here for your little beastie (I mean basenji :))

I own five basenjis. Two yodel until you have a headache and my female barks. She always did. Short clipped barks. I also researched the breed before getting my first and she is an excellent dog. My third basenji was a handful. Three years later and he has stopped his destructiveness etc. It was a hard three years. Lol. You never know with a basenji. Greatest breed. Loyal, active, funny but some require ALOT of patience.

Mallia is the third Basenji we have the pleasure of having in the last 30 years. She is a female where as the first two were males.

First off, Welcome to our site of valueable Basenji information. I have learned so much linking into this site, we have lots of laughs as well. My B, Sahara, crosses her legs all the time, she is such a showoff and often has the regal queen look. I love the look myself, they are such beautiful dogs I must say, not that I am partial or anything. Your Piper is so cute, welcome again.
