Any breeders in Florida?

    Can someone please help me find a Basenjis breeder in Florida, If it is in Georgia or one of those bordering states I will allow as long as they can drive to meet me or ship. I really want a purebed puppy basenji (doesn't matter the color) and I prefer a female but I am willing to stretch. Can someone plz help me? I've fallen in love with this breed but can't seem to find them anywhere! I will get them from Craigslist and treat them if needed but can someone please help me find a basenji puppy near me! (The biggest problem is finding a puppy, I like to start small)

    @Shaye's: Very interesting! And, just like all of them, this basenji decided his seat was "wherever he damn well wanted to sit." LOL– so true! You know what they say-- "For the best seat in the house, please move the dog." Very cool pic!

    I sent the earlier version of this book home with my puppies last year. I think it is a good addition to a new puppy owner's library.

    I know that picture of Bing well - it hangs in pride of place in the hall. I can only guess how you came by it as I would think his breeder would have been the only person we gave a copy to! Thanks for the info re Fanconi. We will obviously keep that very much in mind.

    Exactly, lvoss…. anyone can breed just "because"... it is the right thing to do... IMO... NO.. it is not... people that breed need to have the right reasons... not just to have puppies to sell, because you need to be responsible for every single pup.. for its entire lifetime... and getting money for those pups is not the objective of a responsible breeder.

    @etzbseder: Did anyone else get the email about the new issue of the Breeder? The second story on the email has a picture of a basenji and is from Reveille Basenjis. Just wanted to point that out. That would be Damara Bolte, she is a officer of BCOA, besides a judge, breeder, handler…. The article was from AKC
