Patty, thanks for the note. I told Lisa not to spend the $$ as Wheat is going to always be a virgin, but she wanted to, just for information to share with folks. I can't believe what a treat this little girl is to our family. She came all the way from Africa to find us. We are so lucky.
Wheat is now fixed
-
aww… i hope she is doing well. i want to hear all about the healing process. suki goes in on friday, and i'm so nervous for her.
-
Glad she is with you forever!
-
Wow… they grow up so fast.
Gentle pets to Miss Wheat. -
Healing vibes to Miss wheat, i assume she wasn't suitable for the breeding programme, Sharon.
-
Healing thoughts to Miss Wheat, I'm sure she will be back to her perky self by the weekend.
-
Re Miss Wheat and breeding…we took her to the last b specality, and they liked her, but they liked the other b's better. Wheat is a carrier for fanconi and the others are clear, and much more "typy". As Wheats eye are yellow, something they also didn't like, Lisa and I decided to have her be my forever Miss....
Re getting your girl fixed. Just make sure you get some pain meds and restrict her movements as much as you can. Wheat, even with the meds, will not jump up or off the bed/couch. So we lift her...after all we are here to serve! -
Sharron, now she will be your forever Miss.
-
Yes she will…today was the last of her pain meds, and she is so much more active than I would like, but I think she will stop if it hurts her.
That being said, no running in the fenced area, just walks on the leash...as its raining, that isn't a BIG deal!
Hugs to all of you who said nice things re my girl...she is a "different" type of b, but I love her just the same! -
Individualities in us and our animals are the special things about us and them.
-
thanks for tip re pain meds and leash in the back yard.
hope your girl is back to 100% soon!
-
She is on the mend…but I so want to slow her down..as she isn't even a yr old yet, there is a lot of activity and chewing that needs to be addressed.
Hugs and hugs my friend Fran..sorry for your kitty loss.
Tlish, it's hard to keep them "quiet" once the surgery is done...good luck...
