Welcome to the forums. You are always welcome to come out to the local basenji activities and get a basenji fix. Northern and Southern California both have active basenji communities.
Just let us know when you're ready for your own! Amina will have a litter this year, we hope… Of course, you'd have to come to Texas... But you can come and bring your mom and Ella too.
Welcome and kudos to you for helping with rescues! It sounds like Kowboy was a great introuction to the breed. I'm sorry for your loss of him and Indy. this is a great place to share and keep memories alive. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a speedy relocation back to your family in CA!
I live near the mountains in Colorado. There are some great trails with open space all around to let thme run around.
Gosh I'm so jealous!! We don't have any plasce we could let our pooches loose. I would love a big open space sans any basenji prey :) that way they'll come back
