  • Welcome and I can imagine how excited you are - you have obviously done all your research. look forward to seeing the pictures of your new baby.

  • @Lysh:

    Hey :)

I will take heaps of photos and will share the first couple of newborn(ish) photos from the owner as-well.

The next couple of weeks are going to go so slow!

    Expecting tan/white puppies.

Pictures didn't work, but congrats… and just a little correction, in Basenjis they are Red and White, not Tan.

Many of us are related by "our Basenjis", care to share the Sire and Dam's name or the Kennel name of the breeder?

  • Welcome, your in for a time with a basenji puppy!

  • Yes, hold onto your hat, you are going on a wild adventure with a basenji puppy! Congratulations! Can't wait to see the puppies.

  • Hi Lysh,

Welcome, from one Aussie to another ;)…

This is a fantastic site, with an incredible amount of knowledge. If you ever have a problem this forum would be your first stop for sure :).

Your piccies didnt work, an Im dying to know who you are getting your little bundle of joy from... PM me if you want to. Im just curious to know, especially as Tanza said, we are often related by our B's. I have 3, all from Kylie Delacourt from Wazazi Kennels in NSW ;). Hopefully having a litter next month too :)...

  • Hi All,

Sorry about the pics not working - i used to use Photobucket for pics but last time i went on it gave me a virus so im not really keen to use photobucket again LOL - tried to just upload from pc but that didnt work either. I will find a way to post the pics!

I might have done alot of research :) BUT no doubt ill be on here for more information and guidance!

I dont know much about the showing sides of things - but this is what i know:

Lomar is the breeder prefix. Breeder of 4 grand Champions & winner of Speciality & All Breeds Best In show. I do know she is a very responsibe & knowledgable breeder :)

  • Welcome to the forum, bet you can't wait to get your new baby.
We have a 5 month old Basenji Pup called Malaika.

  • Welcome! You are so lucky that you will be able to visit with the pups from a week old until you take yours home with you. We were able to view our first Basenji pup (ended up plural as we took home 2 littermates but didn't know it at the time) at 3 days old, and visited about every 2 weeks until they were old enough to come home with us. Wouldn't trade those early glimpses of their personalities for anything!

  • Hi all, Puppies are due any day now :) VERY EXCITED!! :)

  • Good Luck, cant wait for the big news :D…

  • Ok Getting photos there, just rezising them and then will be adding them in.

I do not own these photos, they are not mine. Just sharing them with you all.

    This is mum:

    This is Dad:

    Missy nearly due

  • Ohhhhh lovely pics, of 2 ovely dogs, but, Im now dying of curiosity, who are they exactly ???

PM me if you dont want to say !!!

  • Pups should be any day now

  • We have news: 3 baby girls!!

Mum and babies are doing great! :D :D :D :D

  • Congratulations to all!

  • @Lysh:

Missy is the mum to be (Louise's) and im pretty sure the dog is called Cooper, which is owned by a Mt Garnet breeder.

Can you share their registered names?

  • congrats on the babies..

  • Congratulations , bet you can't wait to see them.

  • Congrats! Don't forget to post puppy pics! ;)

  • @tanza:

You have an interesting mix there, if he is a Basenji/Pit Bull mix. One has the wilfull nature, and the tenacity of the other. I would feed him, if he asked me. He may be listed as a "dangerous dog" so get him used to a muzzle when out walking. Preventing any incident is better than dealing with any consequences.
