Printer help?

Off Topic
  • I bought a new printer recently and I'm having problems with it. It is an HP Photosmart C4680. The problem that I am having is that it keeps printing the file name on the top of the printed page. It also keeps adding page numbers. Does anyone know how I can stop it from doing these two things? I am getting seriously frustrated with this.

  • Lixz and I can help you with it, I tend to be good at those technology-like things, at least compared to everyone I work with, hehe. I've emailed you about coming to visit. We can check it out then.

  • is this in all programs, or a specific program?

If you open the HP Print software on the File menu look for a Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer or Preferences and in one of those you will most likely find the option to uncheck those options.

I know how you feel. It's horrible to live close to animal neglect. My new next-door neighbors leave their two dogs out 24/7– heat, rain, snow, lightning storm. They have a big fenced yard, but almost no shade. Of course, the dogs bark non-stop. There's no talking to people like that-- I've already been told to mind my own business. Maybe your neighbor will take you up on your offer... but probably not. It's sad.

@sharronhurlbut: That is because Therese has just love dogs and you picked the right breeder and pup! Did your homework and see how you got "lucky"!!! True, true. I know someone mentioned in a thread something to the effect that they were hoping their b would stop being so clingy. I, on the other hand, love how Kipawa wants to be wherever I am. He will wake up from a dead sleep to follow me into another room. He really does not like me to be out of his sight, and I love that, because when I am out with him at an offleash park, he is the same. He always wants to know where I am. Regarding "luck"… well, I think it was just meant to happen. Kipawa and I bonded instantly. His little sisters were more interested in Darrel in his wheelchair, but Kipawa had to snuggle with me on the couch and put his snoot in my hair. I will never, ever forget that.

I once pet sat for a catoo, a parrot, 2 cats, and 2 dogs in one household. Whew, was that a job of work…mostly the birds. Props to anyone who can do that. Mostly the cats only came around for food, my main problem with the dogs was trying to keep their muddy feet off the white carpet...but the birds...oh, the birds. Could hardly get my hand in the cage to get the bowls to feed them their (owner prescribed) fruit, veggies, and even peanut butter. The catoo wasn't bad, it was the parrot that was very territorial about it. I ended up using kitchen mitts to get the bowls out of the cage. I look back on it now and have a good laugh, but at the time those bites from the parrot hurt! But every now and again during that 2 week period the darned thing would just be cute, as would the c**atoo. The owners said I could even let them out of the cage if we (the birds & I) were comfortable enough, and by the end , we were. It was very neat. That whole multi-critter experience ranks right up there with both a major learning experience and an "I'm so verry glad I had it" experiance. PS: the dogs were both German Shepherds.

I'm in, too. Some are wire haired and others are smooth like a Basenji? Interesting breed.

Vinegar and water is good on any surface that I have used it on over the years… and I think safe for any surface/material.... When I have puppies, I keep a spray bottle of 1/2 and 1/2.... then when I had all elders in the house maybe 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water.. I would start out with warm water, but since I just left the bottle sitting around.. it was really room temp. I found that the elders pee was much less concentrated then the pups.. so lots less smell... however puppy pee is way smaller in size... ggg
