American Idol

  • :D :D I got my tickets to see Taylor Hicks in Seattle in May. :D :D

So far this season doesn't seem to have nearly the caliber of talent that last year had. Although, LaKisha kicks butt, and Melinda is wow! too.
Can't think of his name, but the beat box kid isn't too bad either.

  • so i am assuming you have a date for this occasion? any idea who else is going to be there? (other idols?) i wanna go too
    wahhh

  • Taylor is coming home to Birmingham next week but I don't have a ticket for either show. He's famous for dropping in to night spots around town unannounced when he's in town. My boys are both musicians and I met Taylor through them long before he was famous. He's just as polite and sweet and humble in person as he appears to be in interviews. I think this is the girls' year to win American Idol. I like Melinda Doolittle best.

@JENGOSMonkey I WAS THERE FOR '89! I was a kid, but I remember the water coming out of the swimming pool in huge waves and everything falling from the shelves! I was actually born in San Jose, but moved around a lot later LOL I hear the wildfires are more of a concern for you guys now? That's scarier than quakes for me...

We are learning in California how critical it is to stand together to lobby for our right to own healthy, well bred pets. The bill did pass out of the Assembly to the Senate but the vote was much closer than I think anyone thought it would be when the bill was first proposed. We still have to stay loud and keep writing letters and keep letting California businesses and politicians know how much responsible pet owners contribute to this state and how much money the state stands to lose over this legislation since money talks.
