    New game with Mica. Mica gets to play with an empty plastic water bottle that has an approximately one inch hole at the top. Easier for her to retrieve the treat when she gets the treat. A few treats are placed inside or one at a time. Mica has to sit, almost quietly, since this is a game, and the count goes - 1-2-3- and the bottle gets spun and she watches and than she gets to tackle and catch the spinning bottle and try to get the treats out. Maybe one treat at a time, or several shook before it is spun in the bottom of the bottle. New fun game. BaMica. :D :eek: :cool:

    I have put treats in a bottle for Jojo to work on getting them out but I never thought about spinning and counting first. Great idea! I will give it a try…Thanks...

    Hollie would simply chew up the plastic bottle to get to the treats. She has done this with EMPTY bottles. That's my B!

    Well, I went to the dog park again. It was actually kinda boring. Only one other guy there with 2 little, shaved white dogs. He was not talkative at all and after the initial sniff, the dogs pretty much ignored on another. It was kinda hot (90 degrees) + humid + around dinner time so I wasn't really surprised. I was gonna leave when I, with the sun in my eyes, saw someone showing up with a dog with a curly tail and pointy ears. I thought, "OMG, is that a basenji, can't leave now." Turns out it was a Shiba-Inu. Cute dog. I thought, "Hey, maybe we'll get something here, playwise." No such luck, again, ignoring after the initial sniff. Oh well, it still made a tired basenji, which is good. I will go back again. Oh, and DolceMomma, this park also separates small and large. But the "large" dog area is so-o much nicer than the small dog area. First time, we started in the "small" dog area, alone, five minutes, went into the "large" dog area, 'cause that's where everyone else was. I just think this is a good way for my boy to get socialized. But I am/will be vigilant.

    So so true Lisa!!! What a difference it makes. The only problem is now I have to convince my family that even though the dogs seem great they are not the same easy going trustworthy dog that their schnauzer is! grrrr

    I would suggest waiting until you get the little guy. Indi didn't have a name for abut 2 days. We had all these names in mind and none of them fit. Thats my two cents anyway (oh ya and because we did that I have a cool costume for him on haloween but I don't think I am going to get any cooperation on his end)

    Is this a remote for a cordless behavior collar, my cell phone got the treatment last week. Sahara ate the antenna off, my hubby made me a new one as I would have to buy a new phone otherwise, no replacement parts for my cell available. It's nice to have a hubby that can fix about anything, he is rather smart, married me, haha!!!!!

    The only thing I would be concerned about with a Dachshund would be the possiblity of it having some back damage with the rough play of a basenji…or even trying to do the same acrobatics that Bs do. I have known some folks who had a lot of problems with disk and spine problems with Doxies...but I don't know if that is typical. Something to think about though...
