    I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

    We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.     @zande - Head collar and Halti are pretty close to one in the same. At least the ones that I have seen used. Basically used the same.

    @JazzysMom: You KNOW William has to be wondering why we don't just throw the darned dogs into the stew pot!! bwahahahaha Because basenjis are too sleek and lean, not enough fat on the little rascals to make good stew, of course!:D
