@julia87 How much do you know about Basenjis? Have you met any? It's highly recommended to learn as much as possible about them before making a decision to acquire one. This would be a good place to start.

While it is sad that Baron and Scarlett didn't see eye-to-eye, the good news is that you've unwittingly expanded your family :), as I'm sure Scarlett's new family has added comfort to you! Isn't it amazing that she still remembers you? You guys will always hold a sweet spot in her heart, trust me.

Sounds like Scarlett has a wonderful new family. Sometimes dogs are meant to stay with us, sometimes we are just a way to get them to where they are supposed to be.
