    I found this listing on Craig's List. I sent an email to Jessica today, and she still hasn't found her Savannah. I'll attach her picture… perhaps we can help her find her precious b!

    "She got out of our yard Friday night. She doesn't have a collar, I can't keep one on her. Her name is Savannah, she weighs about 25 lbs. We live in Silverado Ranch, next to Vista Ridge High School. We miss her alot, her sister is very lonely without her!!

    I have heard of success with putting up flyers/pictures of the lost dog. Here's hoping she returns home safely. Please keep us informed.

    A good "safety" exercise to practice is a command that tells your dog treats are in the offing, and use it at irregular intervals when you are walking. Combine the command with a total release of pressure on the leash, preferably when your dog has firm tension on said leash. Then if something unexpected happens you have a built in reaction of the dog to look to you for a reward. This won't work if your dog is pursuing a major distraction, but should give you an edge if you have an equipment failure in otherwise neutral conditions. (you can carry this one step further by "accidentally" dropping the leash in a controlled area, or with a light line attached for safety, and practice until the dog turns to you when it feels a total release)

    I live in AL, not near Abbeville, but I've got friends/family all over. I'll post it on Facebook and email an Alabama pet lost/found group that was established after the April 27th tornados.
