Thanks all! They are so great together and it is so much fun to see our little girl develop! She became much darker red and pretty upstanding ears, her tail needs a little bit growing and sometimes standing in the air like a antenna :D Her personality is so good, I am so in love with her… she sometimes looks at me and wants to say "Mommy, you have to stop right NOW with those kissies... give me someting I can chew on otherwise I will eat your nose" haha I am going to post some new picture right now... pictures that made me cry of happiness....

@Shaye's: I love the poem on the rock as well. Lucky little Kipawa - lucky mom too. At this particular beach, there are quite a few rocks inscribed with various partial poems or eloquent thoughts. People can also pay for a bench as a tribute to a loved one. The beach has a wonderful feeling to it, a truly welcoming area for dogs and humans alike.

I managed not to laugh while it was happening but broke up when I told Duane about it.

@tsjoe007: What you can try in these conditions is to rev up the sensitivity of the camera (you remember, the ASA thing ;) ) for instance from 200 or 400 ASA to 1600 or even 3200. But beware ! The "noise" will rise too so if you want to print the photos on a format greater than A4 the noise will be very prominent so you have to compare the pro's and con's. Again, practice, practise, practise. Better take 50 pictures than to wait for the right moment to shoot. That's the benefit of shooting digital !;) I don't like to high ISO's, because of the noice.. especially not if you can put another lens on your cam. Professional photographers not only have more experience.. they also have more money to spend on lenses…. that's another BIG advantage.. Better filters.. better feeling for composition.. better photoshop programmes.. etc ;)

Our first Basenji targeted one post of a redwood gazebo in our back yard. He just slowly worked on it until eventually it was no bigger in diameter than a primary size pencil. We replaced the post, fearing that the gazebo would fall down when he eventually got all the way through. He loved the new post too, so we finally had to put metal flashing around it. He never really chewed any of the other 7 posts holding the gazebo up! 2 of our current Basenjis have completely denuded a eucalyptus tree of bark as far up as they can reach - but they leave the other eucalyptus alone… What goes on in their minds???
