    @renaultf1: I have definitely seen at least 1 basenji on the BRAT site listed as affected. Not this past summer, but the summer before that I believe. There was one around the time I got zoe. It even listed the cost for meds in that area. Really it gave me hope after I found out zoe was affected. I'm pretty sure that dog was adopted as well even knowing before hand. what a wonderful person that must have been.

    @wizard: A lot of people have been protesting against genetically engirneered crops - where's the protest against genetically engineered pets? A little different. People don't (hopefully) eat the genetically engineered pets.:D All kidding aside, IMHO, I do not think that GMO crops should be allowed in the food chain… Back on topic though...I sent this link to a friend of mine (has a LOT of money) telling her she needed the $27,000 cat. :D:D

    I had a bitch from Cindy Clausen as well. I twas her 5th home in a 9-month time frame. Some up north may remember "Sami" She actually had one of the best temperaments I've dealt with in rescue dogs. Aside from her weird coat (thin and prickly) issue, she was healthy as an ox. A fanconi-carrier, thyroid normal, and CERFd at 4.5 years old. Hopefully this boy is as sweet as Sami was!
