    Here is a pic of a normal dog paw and a Basenjis, even if your girl doesn't have pads like a Basenji it doesn't mean she hasn't got some Basenji in her.
    When we had a Basenji i noticed Benjis pads were joined but at the time thought all dogs were like this. It was only later that i found out only Basenjis, possibly Huskies and wolves have these pads

    ChowChow's have feet like that and it's really noticable in feet that big. I'll try to get a pic next time i'm around a chowchow foot.

    Hi everyone, Thanks for all of your replies! Rex just had his first vet visit (first with me at least), and he was given a clean bill of health. The vet that I saw also agrees with a lot of you that he looks like a Min Pin more than a Basenji, but he is likely still mixed with something because he's a bit too big to be a pure Min Pin. I've looked at a few DNA Dog Breed tests online, and they seem to range in price and in quality. It seems like some of the cheaper (~$50) tests are fake, but they go all the way up to almost $250 for the higher quality ones. Do any of you have experience with these DNA tests / have a brand you found reputable? I'll be sure to post the results of any of the tests with this forum!     @DebraDownSouth He's generally extremely quiet but he does yap(more like a small dog bark) at certain individuals.

    The traits you described are also found in most of the Nordic/spitz type dogs. I don't see anything overly basenji-ish about him in the pics. What ever he is, he's very hansome.

    What a pretty girl! Her head/ears/face & wrinkles are Basenji-looking while her coloring & build suggest some Malanois blood–that would account for her size & aloofness, too. Our local SPCA does genetic testing as a fund-raising thing, if you're really curious you could try something like that...

    Oh yeah, he looks way more like a b-mix to me than a lot of the pups listed as basenjis on Petfinder. And they mention he's not a barker. What a cutie! Someone go get this guy! :D
