Hi to everyone -
I'm not exactly new to this forum, but have never introduced myself.
I enjoy reading everything & learning from everyone on here & would like to send thanks to everyone!
I'm considering looking for a new vet - one who has some more experience with basenjis or at least likes them. It is apparent the doc I currently take my kidz to doesn't care much for my female & was shocked & annoyed at the screams my male let out when he tried to examine him the last time. I'm from the NE Ohio area & am wondering if anyone here can recommend a good doc in my area or am I simply over-reacting? I'm ultimately worried that if something breed specific is wrong with my babies, the vet won't get it - for example, my boy has what is believed at this point to be an umbilical hernia & he said it was imperative we have it corrected. I wrote the boy's breeder & she wholey disagreed.
