As long as the cat keeps well out of the dog's way ! Most learn to do that pretty soon after the Basenji arrives - I have seen a Basenji shaking a cat, much like you would a feather duster.

@liliana He co-breeds with several people under the Mibre and Skyewalker affixes. If you go to my pedigree database website and ask it for either, you will find a host of pedigrees and can follow them back to see if Fanconi or PRA tests have been done. See signature block.

@lindy said in Fostering a pup that looks like Basenji: [image: 1499893567189-img_2774.jpg] His height is 20". That's too big, right? Yes, too big. Should be 16 - 17" at the shoulder. Possibly a mix, but only a DNA test will tell you for sure.

LOL agile, Sayblee did yodel for me but much more for the spousal unit. Arwen doesn't do it at all and at 8 not likely to happen. Cara has had one almost yodel. :( She does musical yawns a lot though, and barks. Well more like boofs.

I got a 15 week old puppy when my female was 8 and my male was 5. Both were happy to have a puppy around. They all spent hours chasing each other and the squirrels in the back yard around. Fortunately my puppy didn't pick up my female's habit of digging up the back yard.

Check for Diabetes. Excess thirst can be a sign for other aliments. Get him to the vet for blood tests.
