Yes my pups doing well , to date I have taken 3 deer off my boys and having trouble posting pics. Les is developing into a nice dog so much so that I got feedback for the dog groomer down the road who just happens to be a credited show judge that he is the best basenji she has seem . This put the lady she told nose out of joint as her dogs who were being groomed at the time both have Australian titles. He has impressed all that have seem him in the field as he works just like my Wei . They are truly two peas in a pod . The other day I introduced my Wei to water not to be outdone little Les followed him in swam the river and showed that he is a better swimmer than the Wei . I just may have one hell of a dog on my hands.

Welcome swanchez. Your pup is quite cute!! Love those brindles.
How did you decide on a Basenji?? Forgive me, I'm just being nosey, but I really love the stories about how people learned about the breed and then decided a B. was right for them.
Please share, if you care to.

A friend of mine had two when I was growing up and I've always wanted one, I just had to wait until the time was right in my life to get my own.

Welcome to the forums, Luke is just adorable. Hold on to your hat… you are in for a wild ride, LOL!!! AAaaahhhhh, but how we love our little "beasties." Basenjis are the most amazing breed, I am totally smitten with my Bella. She keeps me laughing and keeps me warm at night. She looks at me with those deep, dark eyes and has me wrapped around her little Basenji paw...;)

Everything is going great. He is getting more comfortable everyday and starting to show his quirky personality. About twice a day, he goes absolutely nuts and runs all over the place. He had his first vet visit, and he was a real hit there. His housetraining is going great. He even wakes me up in the middle of night with a nibble on the head to let me know he needs to go out. He loves to chew on all his toys, but he is starting to get real interested in chewing the legs of the furniture. The bitter apple spray works pretty good, but he still finds spots to chew. Ill post up some new pics soon.
