  • So tonight dh was figuring out taxes, and pointed out the size of the refund we should be getting. I said, "oh! With that money we could get another Basenji!!!" :D

    Ya'll ever seen a lead balloon. :p

    I couldn't handle another one any way, but it was fun to try. ;)

    HAHAHAHA. I say work on DH & he'll come round ;) How can anyone resist those wrinkly faces?!?

  • I dream of being able to have a pack of basenjis :rolleyes:

    Well, me too. But, as Darren can just barely handle having two in the house {much as he loves them}, I think it'd be a "me or the dogs" situation, and as I am a stay-at-home mom….... well, yeah, I kind of need him to provide the home and the food, and actually, the dogs. LOL

    So, two works out just fine. :D

    {but I'd still really love to have a brindle; no -- two brindles. I'd like a beautiful dark brindle, but I also really like the light r/w ones. :) Ahhh, such is life; and dreams are fun to hold on to}

    You can find a lot of puppy collars at thrift shops for pretty cheap - would never pay full price for one. I'm getting mine at 14 weeks and was told that 8-12 inches was what was being used - then at 4- 6 months graduate to 10-14 inch collar.

    @Quercus: I am thinking the blue in the eyes is the reflection, not the color. Blue dobes have brown eyes, just like black ones. Idk if that only works in dogs. but rabbits if its a blue color they must have the blue eyes or its a DQ. Omgoodness that is a beautiful color! A little on the light side but it is just a puppy and gorgeous none the less. I wonder if you can get new colors passed in dogs like in rabbits. Trust me its a difficult process but its so rewarding to see all the beautiful colors. Chocolate has always been a favorite of mine :)

    @thunderbird8588: At least she seems to have learned, lets hope she generalises it to other cables. Somehow i dont think so:) Benji used to love being blown with the hair dryer on hot. When i had the hoover out he used to get under my feet, i think because of the noise he assumed it would provide the same enjoyment as the hairdryer. I put the nozzle on him, not realising the suction was so strong. He wasn't amused and went into attack mode :) Our Benji LOVES the dyson. We have to take the nozzle over him every time we use it otherwise he goes in a huff! :)

    @Craigh: We got an extra dose of evil yesterday. Bella spent a couple hours laying on the couch with my wife. When she woke up she decided it was play time. She grabbed the corner of the carpet (where two rooms join) and RIPPED IT UP OFF THE FLOOR!! This was tacked down carpet that she had never messed with before. Don't know where that came from. She had pulled up about a square yard before I caught her. We're thinking about changing her name to DeMonica. Atta "Tri'ing" Basenji!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
