Lela has always howled like a little wolf, but her full blown yodel is pretty recent ( she is 2,5 y. now). Usually when she feels left alone or doesn't see us.
Binti (3,5 y.) howls a bit too, but less than Lela - she screams much more (at cats). She also has a deep humming sound, not unlike a small outboard engine that is not quite running properly. We hear that a lot when preparing her meals.
We hear from other owners that every individual has a different repertoire.

She thinks she's a Basenji…...a short legged, straight tailed, barking basenji.
That's Ren, she's 13 and been a good gal watching the basenji invasion.

awwwww…..yes--basenjis are sweet little dogs.....when they're asleep!! ha! But I have to say, the 3 that I have had over the years are really sound sleepers--which is nice when they sleep on your bed....under the covers.....

Love that sun!! Also, we bought baby gates to help with potty training Roo and had to use the boxes behind hte couch so she would not sneak back there.
This one makes Tigger Look like he is in mid stride.
