Wizard

Wizard was my previous basenji, almost nine when he died this past summer. I got him as a puppymill rescue - he soon developed a thyroid problem, went blind in one eye, and had a weird nervous twitch - but I loved him anyway. He loved to go walking or hiking with me and helped in the garden by catching rabbits (yes with only one eye), muskrats, and chipmunks. And he had a great way of making me feel good when I was bummed out for whatever reason.

What a beautiful dog and story of his rescue and life with you. I am so sorry for your loss. Dogs touch us and we remember them forever in our hearts.

Your Basenji was a gift, one that was treasured by you and one that won't be forgotten. I am so sorry for your loss, but thank God you had Wizard in your life. They make such an impact, and we love them all the more for their weird ways, and stubborness, we just LOVE THEM!!!!!:D
