I remember when I was a child there were two Great Danes at a store we used to frequent in summer. They were very patient with children, even the ones that tried to ride on their backs! I am sure a Basenji pup is less objectionable than a toddler. 🙂
For those that sleep in the bed

Hubby and I give the dogs nice chewies and shut the bedroom door, when we need to "get" together.
Once that is over, the b's come in and snuggle under the covers with us. -

I love my basenji heater in bed with me…. especially since it has gotten down to 29 degrees here the past couple of nights!! We finally had to turn the heat on too!!
