@naz-roseberry I think it will work out well with Cutlers "Grandma & Grandpa" lol. I think that the move to a new neighborhood with 10 times the kids upset Cutler bcoz it was 10 times more noise than he was used to. Plus, I think some kids teased Cutler when you weren't right there with him & it was just too much for him noise wise & the teasing just flat pissed him off! At least Cutler is still in the family! He knows the people he's going to live with & he'll be able to see his before family when you all go to visit! I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to have to put him down just because he wasn't able to adjust to the new neighborhood. I'm really happy that you don't have to go thru that too. Hopefully, all's well that ends well ~ right? Take Care! Nancy Berry
Home Needed for Young Dog!!!
-
My husband recently brought home a dog because the woman who had him was being evicted and had no where to take the dog. I am not allowed to keep a dog due to landlord restrictions.
I do not know much about the dog. Her name is Princess and she is young. We believe she is mostly Basenji but may also be mixed with a similar breed! She seems to like a lot of attention and she loves to run and play in the yard during the day but seems to be an indoor dog. She likes to go out in the car or for a walk. I feel really bad that I cannot keep her because she is a great dog and warmed up to us almost instantly. I feel terrible since she already was abandonded by her people once but I cannot keep her because of my landlord and I am not sure where I will be living very soon.
I do not want to take her to the pound or animal control because she is not a little puppy and I am scared that she will be put to sleep since she may not be adopted right away. She is very sweet and loving and I would HATE to see that happen.
I am looking for a family or couple who can provide a stable and loving home for Princess. She is housebroken and I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have as best I can. We were told that she has had her shots but I do not know how old she is.

Again, where in California are you? Many shelters in California are No Kill, so she might have a really good chance of being adopted. Also you can try BRAT (www.basenjirescue.org) they have a section and contacts for mixes.

I would be interested. How old is she? Do you have photos?

If you don't find a home for her, you can also try try Medfly Brigade/Basenji Rescue of SoCal. There is a link to their web site at the BRAT site. They are in Acton, CA.
