    Oh yes I've responded to Oliver in Florida, Stripes in Idaho, and Siriana in Missouri. I received a responds from Siriana and they can fly her as long as I cover the expenses. Unfortunantly my daughter's 13th b-day celebration just passed so we are a bit tight right now but are trying to hurry and save in time before she's adopted. We have not heard back from the other two boys yet.

    @elbrant Tanner in Connecticut is a senior purebred. I had a lengthy conversation with the owner. Tanner is 12 years old. Her owner have recently retired and downsized their home. Tanner isn't coping with the smaller space. There are more details but I prefer not to mention them in a relatively public forum. https://post.rescueme.org/21-03-07-00204

    @giza1 Colorado is too far for me and I want to be able to pick up the Basenji instead of having someone else transport him/her. Thanks for the info though.

    I second the notion that a puppy might not be the right fit. There are many mature ones out there that need homes, and would (hopefully!) be less of a hassle, although some Basenjis never seem to outgrow the "puppy" stage! :) BRAT is a good site to start your research, perhaps right here: http://www.basenjirescue.org/REALITY%20STORIES/default.htm

    @tanza: Doris Daniels is a breeder, so I would guess that she is looking to place something she has bred… kennel name Djakomba.... would guess that maybe these were breeder returns? And she is in New Jersey
