Welcome and congrats on your new addition! I'm no expert, but I would re-think neutering early. I would wait until the growth plates fully close and then neuter him. And I would not say that the breed is susceptible to attacking, though Basenjis can be reserved and cautious with strangers. Most are confident, loving dogs, when socialized. It's always good to keep an eye out for problems, however, and address any aggressive behaviors before they have a chance to escalate. Good luck with him!
Added a new B to our household

We have added a male companion for Duchess to our home. We have named him Ramses. He is eight months old and of course a sweetie. Duchess is so pleased to have a friend to romp and chase with. We are glad we made the decision. Getting one this old with out housetraining or potty training was a tough decision. His gentle loving ways make up for the weeks of training.
Will try to attach a photo. But I don't have much luck on here with that.
The one with the green color is Ramses

What a handsome boy! Congratulations! I really do think that Bs are a happier dog when they have companionship full time.

Do they ever finish (?). At this moment they are running the Indy 500. I just love it. I get a lot of rest with them to exercise each other. Only takes about a third of the time to pick up the messes. Ha ha.

Ummmm-that would be a no on that question. What you have to watch out for is when they want to be bad-then it's more than 2 x the trouble!
