@lustopher You should not use Frontline as well as Drontal and Nexgard. I will phone my vet if you like to check. But I am sure he took me right off Frontline when he put the pack on to Nexgard. Drontal - three monthly - should not be given within 14 days of Nexgard. So wait a fortnight after a dose and then give it. That I am sure of ! It is written on the packets -

@debradownsouth I am on the list because the site allowed me to join by Identifying myself as a Vet Tech, which I was. I am just reporting what the Vets are saying about insecticides. Dogs and Cats can get Lymes Disease. Horses too can get it. In Horses it mimics EPM which is Horse Multiple Sclerosis. I will find the link to the site tomorrow and post it. DE has always given my Horses a clean Fecal exam. There is not enough of the DE to be a hazard when mixing it with Applesauce. Generally, the Veterinary Community dislikes Homeopathic Modalities but more and more Homeopathic Vets are joining the American Homeopathic Veterinarian Association. These Vets have the same training other Vets because the Homeopathic aspect can only be achieved by becoming a traditional Veterinarian first.

Looked at pictures of both, and the Bite Not Collar just looks better because they have 360 vision, you seem to be able to adjust the width with more accuracy as well. The Kong collar looked as though a paw could get through the neck and make the scenario more traumatic! In a pinch I borrowed a neighbor's 'cone of shame…' and Uzie just froze in place, when he did move he bumped into everything. I kept it on him for maybe 1/2 hour while the benedrly took effect and he slept for few hours. He got a canine tooth puncture and he kept scratching it thus preventing a heal. So it was not sutures as you have to think about, but the next morning he did have total closure-the thick folds of skin of a basenji. Ps: there was not any swelling and he is doing 100%! The blue you see is Nolvasan Antiseptic cream-works great! PSS: agree with eeeeeeeeeeeeeeefarm! [image: attachment_p_160720_0_the-cone-001a.jpg]

In the 15 years that we had Maxx, we never used any kind of flea product…and he never had fleas. We haven't used anything on Gracie or Blaze, either, and neither of them have fleas. If we ever do see fleas, our first line of defense would be a natural product of some kind. Only if the natural products didn't work would I resort to chemicals. Of course, YMMV. Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats has information on natural flea products. I'm sure there are other books and/or websites that do, too…just do a Google search.
