"Punishment" in the Operant sense, is anything that reduces the likelihood of the behaviour being repeated. It is the opposite of "Reinforcement", which means anything that increases the likelihood of the behaviour being repeated. While we are at it, "positive" means something is added, "negative" means something is taken away. I know I am belabouring the point, but the terms are quite specific and incorrectly used more often than not by both trainers and lay people. Which wouldn't matter except it causes confusion when people use the term incorrectly and so are misinterpreted by others who do understand the definitions....

Wait for the ending!!
It was pouring down in a thunderstorm when we got to the park. Sanji didn't seem care... Swimming lessons at 3 months paying off.

Sanji is just not a natural Basenji - He does things most won't ! Mine studiously pick their way through puddles in our woods, and even through damp mud.

Doodle will wade into a local stream.... She will stand in the mist of an irrigation sprinkler... She will drink water from a solid stream, like a water hose, catching it in her mouth... and I have seen her take a running leap into the ocean (sound side). Rain... well, let's just stay inside.

@sanjibasenji Zulu doesn’t mind the rain either but Teki thinks it’s going to kill her!
