@Buddys: Hi Kosuzu! I am replying with just my own experience. I only know a little about the local club I visited. There were no mixed breeds, all sight hounds, and a few hounds, the ridgbacks were real popular in the club, and one either needed papers to prove breed, (i never did get the akc papers promised by the previous owner) or I was told if my boy really looked obvious then he could compete. I am not interested in ribbons or placement really (but running the fastest time is exciting!) First Uzie would go against juniors in a class to ensure no aggression during the run of 750yards. Then go against the others in a duo and trio run. But things won't start up til it gets cooler here in Florida. I have a mini lure courser. It is ok, have to make sure the line doesn't get back washed on the spool though. here is a link, but if you can afford a bigger self winding machine-or get one made….then I think it is better then having to wind it up after each run of 150feet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7nqKp3rQ78&NR=1&feature=endscreen There are others out there too: http://wickedcoursing.com/products.html Good Luck! have fun!!! Thanks for the info and the link. I am thinking of getting the Lure Baby from Wicked Coursing. The only thing I have to consider is that the States has 110volt and Australia has 240volt. I think I need some kind of power converter and plug adapter. I will do some more research on that.

@Janneke: I've recently heared that the Dutch Basenji Club bought a lure coursing machine. Now they only need to organise some events…... (and find a field etc..) yes they bought one, but have no field , so what is the use of that? they say they are not depending on third parties anymore but that is not truth since they still dont have their own field :D so it is still more easy to train with the allready existing coursingclubs ( like Leek ) p.s.: when can i see all the nice pictures of the coursing that Job made? :-)

@Kananga: Hehe, Buana looks like he's trying to keep his paws clean. He really wanted to hold onto it but knew it would get his paws all dirty. How often do you feed them raw food like that? I've been thinking about doing that with my B every once and awhile. Well, raw like a fish or a pigs nose/ear or someting similair we give them once in a while. When we see someting that looks really fresh and delicious (fin the B's eyes of course) we'll take it. We bought the last tima some baby chickens but they didn't eat that.. (it's to furry I think) Snake food like frozen mice or rats (healthy and especially for food, not wild rodents!!) the love it.. Here in holland you can't let them eat road kill, it's often poisened or sick. @AndrewnShango: Oh, I am just in love with Chafuko! He's awesome!! :D We hope so much, he'll get daddy in a few years when al the health tests are good!!!

I am a teacher and the computers at our school have this. The kids absolutely love it, and they make some really cool stuff!
