Keeping them out of the kitchen

When cooking, we try to keep Lela and Binti out of the kitchen, with a strategically located blanket and cucumber treats.
It works - for a while…

Probably only until you turn your back, or produce something yummy from the fridge. I would title your picture "anticipation". :)

Bwahahahaha, the dogs are thinking "what a great spot to watch for falling food! How nice of mom to give us a blanket to sit on while we wait!"

that is really the way to go! I found that putting little rug right at the threshold of the hallway and kitchen that Uzie will be more likely to sit OUT of the kitchen while I cook. Most of the time I have to remind him of what he is suppose to do, two or three times, maybe four…but he eventually does. :D

I may have to put a (several) dog beds in the kitchen. I have some gel mats for the kitchen. Dogs think they are dog mats, so I'm always tripping over the dogs.
