Keeping them out of the kitchen

When cooking, we try to keep Lela and Binti out of the kitchen, with a strategically located blanket and cucumber treats.
It works - for a while…

Probably only until you turn your back, or produce something yummy from the fridge. I would title your picture "anticipation". 🙂

Or till something drops off the counter!

Bwahahahaha, the dogs are thinking "what a great spot to watch for falling food! How nice of mom to give us a blanket to sit on while we wait!"

First Basenji's

that is really the way to go! I found that putting little rug right at the threshold of the hallway and kitchen that Uzie will be more likely to sit OUT of the kitchen while I cook. Most of the time I have to remind him of what he is suppose to do, two or three times, maybe four…but he eventually does. 😃

great idea and well behaving basenjis!

We have no kitchen door too, our basenji as well as guest dogs have to stop at the imaginary door…and it works (even if something drops!)!

Great! Picture is so sweet.. you don't see their eyes but we all can imagine how they are looking 😃

I may have to put a (several) dog beds in the kitchen. I have some gel mats for the kitchen. Dogs think they are dog mats, so I'm always tripping over the dogs.

Looks like your connection to Basenji Forums was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
