    Looking for Basenji owners for dog get togethers, meet ups at dog parks and possible trade with dog sitting. There is a picture of a tri PB Basenji.

    It is curious to note that the pictures (cute!) show a left ear tip that is ?missing/cut/flat???? My tri has that tip off on his right ear….I don't think I'd contact them, too far anyway....Jennifer, do you live near Orlando?

    No I do not as I am in OH. I just monitor Craigslist when I have time and post the ads. I did not notice the ear tip missing. In cold weather climates, if a dog is outside in the cold, the ears can get messed up. We took in a rescue years ago that had this problem as it was somewhat neglected and left outside too long in the cold in OH. It seems like we used to have much colder winters back then.

    It'll be a lil while now til I can make it. Kismet caught kennel cough somewhere (vet says Petsmart, dog park or doggie daycare) :( Plus who knows when I'll get a day off on a Sunday at my new job. Hopefully she'll be better by next month and I can start bringing her out again. :)

    @Elscodobermann: Lovely! i have just found out that our Glasgow office is under threat of closure (a week after getting promotion!), so might have to start some job hunting - not an ideal time to be going on a weeks holiday.. So sorry to hear this Scott, I know the feeling too well and it's not a good one.

    We are still in Reno but there is an even better dog park. I don't know which side of town you are located but it is definitly worth it. It is located in Hidden Valley-its called the Link Piazzo Dog park and it is fenced all the way around and they have a small dogs side and a large dogs side. I usually take Congo there and there is another B there that is a red and white B named Misty. I have had some problems up in Rancho San Rafael, especially since it is not fenced in and McCarran BLVD is right there.

    This is the lovely picture of basenji silence after a day at the dog park. [image: atthepark.jpg] We had a great meet! Anne and Don brought their 3 ( Nikki- tri fem, Topper- black male, and Eddie- tri male). Beth brought her 2 (Bella-tri fem and Frank- red male), a new couple brought their 3 (newborn baby, Eshi - red fem, and a 5yr old german shepard named Molly just introduced to the family,) and I had my two (Caesar- red male, and Cairo - brindle male). We also met out of the blue, a couple who had adopted a brindle female that was named Dreammaker. She was very timid, but had fun meeting the pack. There were crazy basenji runs, squirell chases and the normal chaos and fun that comes with a pack! We had a great time. Hopefully pictures will follow.
