    This isn't for me, but I wanted to pass on that Lycia's lovely breeder still has two pups from her litter… if anyone was interested. I can highly recommend their temperaments and confirmation from personal experience.

    @elbrant Tanner in Connecticut is a senior purebred. I had a lengthy conversation with the owner. Tanner is 12 years old. Her owner have recently retired and downsized their home. Tanner isn't coping with the smaller space. There are more details but I prefer not to mention them in a relatively public forum. https://post.rescueme.org/21-03-07-00204

    There is another Basenji on CL who is also from a GA breeder: https://louisville.craigslist.org/pet/d/purebred-basenji-pup/6625622891.html The owner is asking $400, sez he paid $800. BRAT knows about both dogs, but they won't pay a large fee. -Joanne

    Please do plenty of research before making a decision to have a Basenji. Where are you in the UK? - if near to me you are welcome to visit my Basenjis and talk Basenji talk. I'm no longer breeding but I think it's important to visit Basenji homes before making decisions. As Benkura says there don't seem to be any female pups available at present. The plus of that is that you've plenty of time to see as many Basenjis as you can. Most breeders are like me and would be pleased for you to visit with their Basenjis.
