Not to mention what you will call them when you're angry! 🙂 I also like two syllable names, but often end up using one syllable, e.g. "Perry" sometimes gets "Pay", and my horse, "Hero" often just gets "Roe".

I was just thinking about names for my dog then it hit me why do/dont people give their dog personafied names like Max or Benji and if any pet is given a personifed name does it make them feel more human?

It's funny that when I think of my dogs, I've named the females with people names, like Lola, Lucy, and Becca, but my male dogs have been common dog names, like Buddy and Joker. I don't know if it means anything, because I speak to all of them like they are human.
