    Hi,

    I jsut found this forum and it is great. I have looked in the past for something in this format as mail lists and yahoo groups just do not do it for me, plus they seem to all get filled with spam.

    My wife and I have 2 basenjis, Lion and Tigger a female and male from the same litter. We are soon to be getting a new puppy, in about 9 weeks.

    I will post some pics in the show off forum.

    Welcome and so sorry to hear about the health issues of your two B's…. Thank you for opening up your home to them... And Thank Goodness we now have DNA tests for Fanconi so that no Basenji ever has to suffer with this horrible affliction.

    Thank you one and all for the warm welcome, it is nice to be among friends who share the same affections with the B's. I posted a photo it is next to my profile, I'm so new at this thread thing I still can't figure a lot of it out . . . Also welcome to the newbees also . . .     @Rafismom: Thanks to the amazing Cheryl-Hanks mom and Kevin and Dr. Gonto we are on our way to trying everything known on Fanconi. All your posts meant the world to me! Rafi is not going to have an easy road-we caught it very late. Gabrielle That is great, hopefully you have also advised his breeder… good luck and well wishes for a good treatment and good results.
